What we collect
- Account information. Your name and email address when you sign up.
- Annotations. The strokes, notes, and project data you create. These reach our servers only when you turn on cloud sync for a project.
- Technical data. IP address, browser and device type, and basic usage signals. We use these to keep the service secure, enforce rate limits, and fix bugs.
- Emails we send. Verification links, password resets, and service notices.
What stays on your device
Your video files and local project files live on your device and are never uploaded. Only annotations you choose to sync leave your machine.
How we use your information
We use it to run the service: sign you in, sync your projects, send emails you asked for, keep the service secure, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.
Usage analytics and crash reports
When you are signed in and online, FrameSketch sends anonymous usage data: app opens, the tools you use, and the occasional crash report with a technical stack trace. We use it to fix bugs and improve the app. This is a preference: turn it off anytime under Preferences in the app.
Your videos and the things you draw are never tracked. Nothing about your files, their names, or their contents is included in usage data or crash reports. The only time anything you create reaches our servers is when you turn on cloud sync for a project.
Usage events are kept for 90 days and crash reports for 180 days. We also record the country your request comes from (via Cloudflare) and your device type, operating system, browser, and language. None of this is sold or shared with advertisers.
Where your data lives
- Cloud storage. Cloudflare hosts our database and file storage.
- Email. Brevo sends verification and password-reset emails.
- Sign-in. Google, when you choose to sign in with Google.
Each provider gets only what its part of the service needs.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and cloud data until you delete them. Deleting your account removes your cloud copies. Turning off cloud sync removes the project from the cloud after a short grace period. Some records may be kept longer where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can access, update, export, or delete your personal information whenever you choose. If you wish to permanently delete your account and all associated data, you can do so directly within the app or by emailing support@framesketch.xyz.
Children
FrameSketch is not for children under 13, and not for anyone under 16 in the EU. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
