Get FrameSketch

The desktop app is the same FrameSketch you use in the browser, running natively. Your footage stays on your machine either way.

Install instructions

Windows

Windows 10 or later, 64-bit

Double-click the installer and follow the prompts.

Linux (.deb)

Debian, Ubuntu and other .deb distros

sudo dpkg -i FrameSketch_1.0.0_amd64.deb

Linux (.rpm)

Fedora, RHEL and other .rpm distros

sudo rpm -i FrameSketch-1.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm

Linux (AppImage)

Any x86-64 Linux with FUSE

chmod +x FrameSketch_1.0.0_amd64.AppImage && ./FrameSketch_1.0.0_amd64.AppImage

Linux (Flatpak)

Sandboxed install, most distros (Flathub coming later)

flatpak install --user ./FrameSketch_1.0.0_x86_64.flatpak && flatpak run xyz.framesketch.app

System requirements

Windows

  • Windows 10 or later, 64-bit
  • MSI installer, around 100 MB installed

Linux

  • x86-64 with glibc 2.31 or newer
  • .deb for Debian 11+ and Ubuntu 20.04+
  • .rpm for Fedora 36+ and RHEL 9+
  • AppImage for any other distro (requires FUSE)
  • Flatpak bundle for sandboxed installs (requires flatpak)

Web app

  • Recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari
  • Runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • Installable as a PWA

All platforms

  • 4 GB RAM minimum, 8 GB recommended
  • A GPU with WebGL 2 support
  • About 100 MB of free disk space

macOS is not available yet. The web app works on macOS in the meantime.
