Timeline and playback
The timeline is one cell per frame of your video. It is the part of the app you will live in while you work, so it is built for speed.
Jump to a frame
Click any cell in the timeline. The current frame is highlighted, and the viewport snaps to it.
Scrub
Drag across the cells to move through frames quickly, the way you would drag a playhead.
Play and pause
The play button, or the space bar. Playback loops within your selected region when one is set.
Step frame
The arrow keys move one frame at a time, forward and back. This is how you draw a breakdown.
Select a region
Drag on the timeline to mark a range of frames, then play to review just that range. Shift-click extends the region from its start.
Volume and mute
The timeline transport has volume and mute controls. M is the shortcut.
Frame dots
Cells with content on the active layer carry a small dot. Scanning the timeline for dots shows you exactly where your drawing exists and where the gaps are.
Frame-accurate by design
The canvas and the video share the same frame clock, so what you see is exactly what the frame holds. Nothing drifts, no matter how much you scrub back and forth.
